01 / The investment
What a film costs depends on what it needs to change.
Here's a straight answer, and what shapes it.
We don't price by filming days, cameras or edits. We price by what the work has to do.
A short film for one audience costs less than a story that has to work across a whole organisation.
Most film projects land between £7,500 and £20,000.
02 / What shapes the investment
Three things change the number.
Not production days. Not the size of the camera package. The investment changes according to the problem, the importance of solving it and how far the work needs to travel.
01
SCALE
How large is the problem?
A local communication issue carries different consequences from a problem affecting an entire organisation, customer base or market.
02
IMPORTANCE
What happens if nothing changes?
The greater the commercial, operational or human consequence, the more responsibility the work carries.
03
REACH
How far does the story need to travel?
One audience in one place is different from work designed for teams, customers, stakeholders or markets across multiple channels.
03 / The range
Enough to know if
we're in the same room.
You don't need a detailed proposal to know whether a conversation makes sense.
01
SMALLER
PIECES
From £4,500
When the brief is already clear and the job is to make it well. This doesn't include the strategy stage.
02
FILM
PROJECTS
£7,500 – £20,000
Most of our work. Understanding the problem, finding the story, making the film and putting it to work.
03
LARGER
PROGRAMMES
£20,000+
For stories that need to work across several audiences, teams, markets or films.
We agree a clear scope and price before we start. If the project changes, we talk before the price does.
04 / What every project includes
The thinking isn't an extra.
It's why, after one film, new recruits told the client they'd applied because of it.
The value starts before we film.
The camera is one part of the process. Before it comes out, we need to understand the problem, the audience and what needs to be different when they have seen the work.
01
DIAGNOSIS
Finding the real problem.
We challenge assumptions, remove the jargon and establish what isn't happening today that needs to happen.
02
ARCHITECTURE
Deciding what the audience needs to understand.
We find the truth worth building around and give it a structure capable of changing understanding, confidence or behaviour.
03
PRODUCTION
Capturing the evidence that makes the story believable.
Film, interviews, sound and imagery are chosen because they serve the narrative — not because they happen to look impressive.
04
APPLICATION
Making sure the work has somewhere to go.
We consider where the story will live, who needs to see it and how the organisation can put it to work after delivery.
05 / The first step
We don't start
with a quote.
We start by finding out whether there's a problem worth solving.
The first conversation isn't a pitch.
It's a chance to understand what isn't happening in the business today that needs to be happening — and what happens if nothing changes.
Sometimes the answer will involve film. Sometimes it may reveal that film isn't the first thing you need.
THE QUESTIONS THAT MATTER
01
What isn't happening today that needs to be happening?
02
Who needs to think, feel or act differently?
03
What happens if nothing changes?
04
What would make this investment worthwhile?
If a film isn't the answer, we'll tell you. Sometimes the useful work is the thinking on its own, and it's priced that way.
06 / Start with the problem
What isn't happening in your business that needs to be happening?
If something important is being misunderstood, overlooked or failing to connect, that's where the conversation starts.
